studio ballenbak quits

For a long time, I've not been entirely happy with the name studio ballenbak. Studio ballenbak is, in Dutch, a playful and easy to remember name, but strategic and in terms of the image of the organization, the name is less interesting for an organization that specializes in environmental psychology (not to mention my English writing skills ;-) ). Therefore there is a new (Dutch) website: omgevingspsycholoog.nl (Dutch translation of environmental psychologist).

The content of omgevingspsycholoog.nl will be similar to studioballenbak.nl. In addition, the post will also be translated in Dutch. Then I switched from Dutch to English to address a wider public. However, I noticed, most of my followers are Dutch. Therefore we're going to try to offer the content in both Dutch and English.

Also, the tweets will be in Dutch (@omgevingspsy) and English (@environmentpsy).

And studio ballenbak? That is going in the fridge for a while. There will be undoubtedly a moment for which studio ballenbak is appropriate.

Ps. Yes it hurts to kill one of your greatest darlings.

Pps. For those wondering what studio ballenbak means in Dutch; literally it means ‘studio ball pit’. But that name doesn’t pronounce as easily as studio ballenbak.




Studioballenbak stopt er mee

Al voor een langere tijd ben ik niet helemaal gelukkig met de naam studio ballenbak. Studio ballenbak is speels en blijft goed hangen bij mensen, maar strategisch en imago technisch is de naam minder interessant voor een organisatie die zich specialiseert in omgevingspsychologie. Daarom is er nu een nieuwe website: omgevingspsycholoog.nl.

Op omgevingspsycholoog.nl zullen dezelfde blogposts komen te staan als voorheen op studioballenbak.nl. Ook, of misschien in eerste instantie alleen, in het Nederlands. Ik heb destijds de switch gemaakt naar het Engels om een breder publiek aan te spreken, maar ik merk dat het gros van mijn lezers Nederlands is. Daarom gaan we proberen de content tweetalig aan te bieden.

Ook zullen de tweets in zowel Nederlands als Engels worden geplaatst. Voor NL hebben we @omgevingspsy en voor EN @environmentpsy

En studio ballenbak? Die gaat in de ijskast. Er komt ongetwijfeld nog een keer een gelegenheid dat ik die naam van stal ga halen.

Ps. Ja het doet pijn om een van mijn grootste darlings te moeten killen ;-)
